The Secret to Early Morning Exercise

Too many of us are snoozing through life when an opportunity to rise up and actively pursue something bigger than ourselves passes us by.Hi friends! I am honored to have a piece up on Her View From Home today called “The Secret to Early Morning Exercise.” I used a personal story to write about the importance of committing to a healthy routine for better productivity in life. I would love for you to click on this link and read what I had to say. Now, I’m no expert on this exercise thing but I have managed to maintain a pretty consistent exercise regime for a few years now. It might look different every few months but it’s always the same in that I stick with some kind of exercise. Mayo Clinic has this to say on the matter:

“Exercise and physical activity deliver oxygen and nutrients to your tissues and help your cardiovascular system work more efficiently. And when your heart and lungs work more efficiently, you have more energy to go about your daily chores.”

I challenge you to get started on a morning exercise routine today! Need some more motivation? Click HERE! ❤ Thanks!

The Morning Light

Freedom is calling your name. Step into the light and never look back.

It’s a new day. Go ahead and take a deep breath. Remind yourself that His mercies are new every morning.

Last night, in the dark, you may have said or done some things that you regret today. But my friend, the light of the morning sun has risen in the sky. The things done in the dark are forgotten in the light.

The light literally can’t contain the blackness of yesterday’s night. It has to shine. Bright and beaming, the glow of today overshadows yesterday’s dimness. All that’s left is what we remember.

Can you let the streaming rays call out to this hidden truth inside of you? Can you forgive yourself for what only you can still see? Let the early gleam of dawn refresh you with its brilliance, its illuminating possibilities.

The darkness limits us, confines us, traps us. The light sets us free to walk in a spacious place. Bask in the warmth of knowing you never have to be a prisoner to the dark ever again. Freedom is calling your name. Step into the light and never look back.

Then Jesus again spoke to them, saying, “I am the Light of the world; he who follows Me will not walk in the darkness, but will have the Light of life” (John 8:12).

Lift Up Your Head

What are you looking at? Are your eyes focused on the ground beneath your feet? Is your view darkened by your own grey shadow? Have you closed your eyes to preserve them only to lose sight of where you’re going?

Friend, look up. The sky above beckons you to feel the warmth of the sun. The crystal blue is brighter when you’re seeing it for the first time after experiencing the pain of it’s absence. The birds of the air flitter by in hopes that you will notice their morning song.

Don’t let the comfort of your limited view keep you from the spacious life waiting for you.

“We throw open our doors to God and discover at the same moment that he has already thrown open his door to us. We find ourselves standing where we always hoped we might stand—out in the wide open spaces of God’s grace and glory, standing tall and shouting our praise.”

Morning Mindset

Take a minute and focus your heart this morning.

Focus on the good things that God has done for you.

Focus on the truth instead of the lies.

Truth like:

God is the rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. (Hebrews 11:6)

You are never, ever alone. (Joshua 1:5)

The mercies of God are new every single morning. (Lamentations 3:23)

You are a son or a daughter of God. (John 1:1)

There is no condemnation for those in Christ Jesus. (Romans 8:1)

God’s perfect love casts out all fear. ( 1 John 4:18)

Let these promises wash over your heart today. Let them invade your thoughts with the good news of the gospel.

“Jesus loves YOU

This I know

For the Bible tells me so…”
